Hi all, I bought this Rosie the other day at the toy sale from Target in Australia, it was reduced by 30% as were all trackmaster products but allot of the good stuff was sold out and they usually have a very small range to choose from anyway. I rarely see anything newer than 2011 items in stores where i live which is terrible.
This is the Trackmaster rosie, it runs on a single AA battery and it has the original larger drive unit (which i call the thomas type). it runs very well and is quite quiet, it stays on track very well and i had no problems when i filmed this piece.
The locomotive is mostly a pale pink color with a large white section on each side, the face is accurate to the face we have seen in tv and movies and it even features the freckles. It has red wheels which is quite a bold choice and it makes it stand out ever so more, it is a tank engine similar in size to thomas and stanley.
I am going to give this one to my daughter now that i have finished filming and seeing how it runs for this review, she is very happy to get it :D
I give this locomotive a 9/10 overall, I can't find anything bad about it and it runs superbly but also it seems a bit boring and the character in the show seems like an afterthought. It is still a worthwhile addition to any collection and is a hard working engine. I also cannot complain about the price as i got it for virtually the same price as an ebay one from Asia.
