Hi Guys and Gals here we have the review for Trackmaster 2 Glynn and a made up story for him that I improvised :P
Glynn was quite the mystery when the pictures surfaced a couple of months ago, we didn't even know his name. Now we know allot more from the new The Adventure begins special. Glynn is a vertical boiler loco or "coffee pot" Glynn and a couple of other vertical boiler locos ran on the Ffarquhar branch line in the early days of the NW railway (which later became known as the Fat controllers railway or Sodor railway). Glynn was the number 1 engine until something happened and he was discarded on a siding and seemingly forgotten until many years later when Thomas comes across him in his early days on Sodor. As of yet, what happened to Glynn is a mystery but he is likely no longer there in the present day.
I made a story for him on the spot that was completely improvised and guessing any information about him that has not yet been revealed, so please don't hate it if it sucks lol.
Trackmaster Glynn is pretty much a box on wheels and I can see why they had to do it like that from looking at the real life locomotive and the Thomas and friends animated character. He has the same drive unit as all the other Trackmaster 2 which is normal now (why has it become so normal...Boring!) anyway after modding it did run really well but my first real outing with the new track did have it's hiccups! When you saw Glynn crashh off the rails on the curve that was for real! and I could not find any real track defect that would cause a derailment! Perhaps I put the wights up too high and upset the center of gravity? who knows!
Anyway I like Glynn and the idea of him despite being in the special The Adventure Begins for only 10 seconds to seemingly just sell more toys, I just hope there is more of his story and perhaps some special flashback episodes!
I give this Trackmaster 2 Glynn an 8/10 I can't really fault him as he did run quite well except for on the new track...
