Hi Guys and Gals here we have the TOMY/TOMICA WORLD/Plarail Animal express, I got it on ebay last year and very happy to find one complete despite it missing the decals from the Gorilla car and a bit of paint loss on Mr. Gorilla :D.
This was a 90's release aimed at children and I don't think it sold very well due to the fact it was bright red and that it had to compete with the Mighty TOMY Thomas line of products. It is a very nice runner as you'd expect being from plarail and even with its age it runs like new!
The train runs on a C size battery but they are expensive and heavy! I prefer the way I do it by using a AA which is the same voltage as a C size but much lighter and cheaper. The 7gm or 1/4oz weights are zinc coated steel and safe for children, they are available on ebay and are normally used for model railways, perfect!
