Hi Guys and Girls got this set on ebay its a brand new set for 2012, I paid $60 including delivery which is reasonable I feel.
The Thomas is quite a surprise while he looks ordinary apart from a front coupling and a chunky rear coupling he is very different indeed, Thomas can go forward or reverse with the flick of the switch. I tried to fit a normal thomas shell and an angry thomas shell but they are slightly smaller in the coal bunker area and the shells sat up about 2-3mm at the rear.
Anyway a rather long winded 20 minute video lol different from my short and sharp video style so I wont go on in this description, other than to say a unique design of engine, something we haven't seen since the early TOMY train days is a reverse switch, its great to have it back and easily accessible on the top.
I give this set a 9/10 (Harold should be powered and track design is boring, Thomas is the saving grace here). The Thomas engine by itself I give 10/10 (despite it doesn't work on the turntable in reverse it is a wonderful innovation TOMY should be proud)
