Hi Guys and Gals here we have a locomotive from HiT toys Trackmaster, it's Billy! I have had it for several months but this is the first time I have run it and you will see it :D I had this loco sitting on a shelf in front of my TV and I have seen this loco every single day so I was keen to finally get it out on the railway and see how it performs, I added new traction tires when I received it also. The tracks and everything else on the layout is very dusty I plan to give it all a clean before the next video.
Who is this locomotive? So this locomotive is named Billy and he appears in the Don't be silly Billy episode where he is in a big hurry to get the job done and makes allot of mistakes and seems to be a bit of a "know it all". Thomas sets him right in the end though and the pair then perform the duties properly.
Which drive unit does it have? This locomotive has the flat type drive unit and we all know these early drive units are hit and miss with the quality and the noise they produce, luckily this one is fairly quiet and an excellent runner even looking like its had a hard life with damaged stickers and missing paint.
What battery does it use? The drive unit runs on a single AA battery and the whole shell lifts off to fit a battery.
How does it run? very very well and pulls a good load of 3 cars with no problem it did wheel spin at some corners but as I said earlier the track is very dusty and not ideal until i clean it. Its quite fast and stayed on track very well.
What comes in the pack? you get the Mccolls chicken farm wagon with fold down sides and a small green brake van.
Hopefully I covered everything and I give this Billy a score of 9.5/10, it would have been a 10 but too many stickers are used and they are not durable.
