IT'S HAPPENING DOT GIF YALL, we finally got a multiplayer Baden game on video! Also some players who haven't appeared on here before - Hypnos is someone i played with years ago, while Pagnoe is a very new player. Actually didn't fare too badly for someone with only 30 games under their belt! roos is quite an underrated veteran, as you can see here...
Please refer to my previous Baden videos for the explanation of the rule changes. Funny enough, even though i'm one of the more experienced players with this map, i screwed up basic turn order on turn 2! Just goes to show how little experience anyone really has with this map, particularly outside of 2P which is its own separate world.
Specifically, i overpaid for the 10 thinking it would get me bottom in the turn order...and forgot roos could just buy 08 and steal all the cheap coal from me. That led to a snowballing money lead for roos that the rest of us could never quite recover from. That play meant roos was in a better position to bid for 22 than me, then a better position to bid on 25 & 26...
Fossil fuels were unusually expensive throughout this game, so i thought maybe i could come back if i made roos pay a decent price for 25 & 26 then drove up fossil fuel costs. Didn't work out that way since i myself depended on expensive coal for the 20 (should've passed on that in favor of 28 or 21, in retrospect), and roos was able pass on plants altogether for the first turn of Step 3 and still easily beat us! Very well done. =)
