A lot of idle chat in this one, but it goes some interesting places. Always down to plug One-Hit Wonderland~

This was a tricky game that i probably should've won. Stein thought i was dead after i bought 13 on turn 1 followed by 25 on turn 2. Apparently you should normally pass on plants turn 2 with the 13 - i have almost no experience starting with that plant. My build wasn't ideal either, though i think i made it work rather well in the end. Building north was probably better early...go Schwerin then jump to wherever m0rph doesn't protect. Could argue 09 wa a better purchase than 13 since you don't build last, too...

Anyway i got the 25 for cheap on turn 2, then made another mistake buying a coal then. Had i waited to purchase any coal until i was ready to use 25, i could've powered 3 cities that turn. Had to make a couple big jumps but reached 6 cities in decent time, giving me a chance again after a tough start.

Decided to go hard for the 30 since fossil fuels had already become a warzone, and it paid off handsomely. That made me the favorite to win - just needed to stay low in the turn order to prevent others from getting big plants after me in the auction.

The problem came when 31 showed up. Knowing that all remaining plants in the deck were crap, i decided to bid for 31 to replace the 25. My thinking here was that this would give me the capacity lead, the market would stall, and i could end the game before the Step 3 auction. That went awry once others started buying plants just to move the market, and i had no chance after that. Had i given up 31, i could've bought a measly 3-cap later and ended the game once it became clear the market was moving. 6P is so hard and i have no idea what to do most of the time!!!

Very well-done by Amitss to sneak out the win there, BTW. m0rph made the rookie mistake of not building to 13 or else they would've had it - they forgot that building to 14 ends a 6P game. m0rph had a lot of open space with 29 at a solid price and 32, so they did quite well until that bit. Fossil fuels were rough to the others, as even Stein with 28 at cost couldn't overcome that.
