Let's take a look through DC Comics' theoretical universe following the young adult adventures of Superman & Batman Junior!

World Without Men. While on a road trip, Clark and Bruce come across a sign for Belton, being warned by the ferryman that it's an old ghost town where people have been disappearing. Sensing adventure, the duo head in its direction, ignoring the occasional literal odd sign. They make their first stop at a blacksmith's shop, where they're shocked the proprietor is a woman, who chases them out with a bar of hot iron. They venture into town, to find it quite populated. But only by women, one of whom, Officer Diana, gives the gawking young men a parking ticket, saying it's by the standards set by Big Sister Sybil. They protest, causing Mayor Sara to confront them, saying men are denied rights in their town, including the right to touch a woman. Nearby, a worker starts to fall from a roof, but when Bruce starts to run to save her, Diana makes it clear she'd rather kill them where they stand than let them touch her. Thus the rescue team shows up too late and she falls to her death, the other women brushing it off like it's nothing. Bruce makes an angry sexist remark, and the two are literally scooped up and dumped into the town jail, where they find themselves surrounded by other men who arrived in town and were arrested on phony charges, some disappearing soon after being brought in. That night, Clark overhears Diana and Sarah talking about how terrible it was for them to have to imprison two fine young men like Clark and Bruce, but they must follow Sybil's guidance and cast off all weakness to finally be free. And that she will be present for the dead worker's funeral. The duo quietly break out of jail, before slipping into their superhero garb and sneaking behind the funeral mourners, following them deep into the nearby swamp. They witness Sybil speak to her following through a giant monolith with an eye, where she expresses sorrow for the dead worker, but anger that Diana and Sara are showing feelings for Clark and Bruce, thus commands them to go back and execute them. Once the gathering disperses, Clark and Bruce confront the monolith, Sybil claiming she only inspired the women to follow their feelings and overthrow the male dominated culture. Bruce demands she show herself, but is knocked out by a force field, Clark barely managing to save him and get the two away. They're then found and fired upon by an armed mob, Clark again flying them away, before he suggests they switch costumes, saying that he can repel the bloodhounds who have caught onto Bruce's scent, while Bruce goes off to do some detective work. Bruce witnesses Diana and Sara being hypnotized and walking through the monolith, Bruce following suit and finding himself in front of an old sawmill. He's ambushed by reptilian beings, but they run into the middle of quicksand and the giant creatures sink like rocks. Clark suddenly appears and pulls Bruce out, where they finally come eye to eye with Sybil, an alien who all this time has been slowly converting the females in town into beings similar to herself. All out of hatred for anything beautiful as she was exiled for being ugly, and the only cure for the serum is to be touched by a man. She attacks, but Clark on a hunch shoves her back into the monolith, which turns out to be a rocket that sends her back to her home planet. Where for her crimes, she's sentenced to gaze upon herself forever. And the story ends with Clark and Bruce beginning the laborious task of curing all the women in town by touching them all over. So, this was a porn. Seriously, the women are all being transformed into ugly monstrosities, and the only cure is they must feel the touch of a man. This feels like something Roger Corman would have produced as a softcore monster flick. And needless to say, this aged poorly. It's another anti-feminist story where women are callous independent bitches until their girly parts start acting up and they must throw themselves at the nearby hotbod handsomeface. Heck, even for 1975, this feels outdated, as even a lot of the Imaginary Stories I covered from the 60s treated women better than this. Not all of them, but still. And if Sybil was exiled for being so damn ugly, why was she given a rocket that could send her back to her home planet at any time? This just feels like the writer was a little lonely, so they wrote a story loosely based on 1984 to hide their fetish material in. I just don't see the point of this one other than to turn on any older readers who happened across this comic, and piss off any woman who may want something more out of life than to be fondled by a man. And I guess Clark and Bruce don't care the women who originally loved them were horribly mutated and suffocated in quicksand.
