Let's review each episode of the cult classic Viva Pinata TV series based on the hit game in (mostly)under 90 seconds!

In Slaying 'Em At The Sands, Paulie brings Fergy to meet his hyena cousins. Only to find Pester has kidnapped them and is forcing them to laugh their candy out. And that's pretty much it. Nearly the entire runtime is just watching Pester continually forcing the hyenas to laugh, where he first tries jokes that require some actual thought, only to find they respond better to lowbrow slapstick. Hey, it's the audience for this show! So it's just watching Pester continually abusing himself as the hyenas literally split their sides. Meanwhile, Paulie and Fergy are told about the predicament and go to save them, only to end up making the situation worse. And it takes the hyena's downer family member to finally calm things down. Where things suddenly get ambitious, as Pester reveals the ultimate comedy machine. And it is fun seeing Pester dragged through this elaborate contraption and the pain dealt to him at each stop. Which most of the cast finds hilarious, but, as proven, the more complicated the setup, the less the hyenas find it funny. Eventually Pester defeats himself and they go home. Only to then force Fergy into the machine, who doesn't find it funny anymore! And while I would have loved to see this happening to him a couple episodes ago, what did Fergy do to deserve it here? Yeah, I'm sorry if this was just me explaining everything that happens in this segment, but that's all I'm given to work with. It's as simple as the hyenas are. And if you like this humor, you'll probably like this segment. Me, I think I relate more to cousin Prescott here.
