Let's review each episode of the cult classic Viva Pinata TV series based on the hit game in (mostly)under 90 seconds!

In Beauty and the Beasts, Hudson hosts a beauty pageant, with the winner promised a year-long cruise with the Horstachio. But when the contestants all turn out to be pinatas from his past he'd like to forget, he decides dressing up his friends as women would mean a much less painful experience. I was just saying the other episode I was surprised the show was developing a sense of continuity, and in this one, we have a bunch of references! There's Hudson's high school ex-girlfriend Karina from A Terrible Tribute, Beverly from Hudson's Biggest Fan, who I guess is all over him again, and Hayley Horstachio. Who we technically haven't met yet, but does officially show up later. I don't know. I'm just blown away that this show with episodes that have remained almost entirely self-contained is suddenly bringing back characters from previous segments. As for the plot, well, it's just as crazy as it suggests. Hudson has to make sure one of his guy friends becomes his girlfriend. And I do love how Franklin makes no attempt to even try to pretend he's a woman, while Fergy is just doing it because it means no party duty. But the most shocking entrant is obviously Paulie, who consciously dresses and acts like a Japanese woman! When, again, the actor's not exactly Japanese. And what the ostrich does is pretty questionable as well. You know, I could brush the first case off as an innocent misunderstanding or mischevious addition, but this is the third time so far the show has featured blatantly racist Asian stereotypes! So either the staff really was this naive, or somebody has some major issues with a certain country! You'd think a company almost entirely known for its Japanese and Japanese-inspired media would be a little more considerate about other cultures-Oh, no, wait. Nevermind. I just remembered who we're talking about here. And the rest is just the guys sabotaging their competition. Which I could get mad about, but considering they're doing Hudson a favor, I don't feel too guilty. Plus everything ends hilariously. In a show that's already had some standout strange episodes, this is one of the strangest, and deserves to be seen to be believed. Oh, and Fergy's mother also shows up. That's pretty cool.
