Let's review each episode of the TV show The Venture Bros, the greatest adult animated series ever made!

In The Incredible Mr Brisby, the team is called in by the eponymous Roy Brisby of the world beloved Brisbyland to discuss something not quite on the level. And the founder won't take no for an answer. Where do I even begin with this episode? No, seriously, this is easily the funniest episode so far, if not of the entire series! Starting around the moment of the villain reveal, which, god, I'm sorry, his design is hilarious. I'm not laughing at the fact he's crippled, I'm laughing at how much work they put into making him LOOK crippled. And how much effort the voice actor is clearly putting into trying to talk without lips. Plus the fact he got this way from being trapped underneath a malfunctioning Abraham Lincoln animatronic. I'm sorry, but every line he says, every attempt he makes to sound or look menacing just makes me burst out laughing. Even without their own attempts to kill the tone. Though those also help. Meanwhile, Hank and Dean are left on their own, who give us the most realistic depiction of teenage brothers we've seen so far from them, when they're abducted by a freedom force calling themselves the Orange County Liberation Front. A group of honest citizens fighting against the tyranny of the evil Disney, I mean, Brisby, which, yeah, don't we miss the days when we still thought that was fiction? Who, for some reason, then brainwash them to joining their cause. Even though at this point in the series, there's not much brain between them, so they act just as uncontrollably, and hilariously, as you'd expect. But, no, the best part of the episode is once again Brock, who's stopped from rescuing Venture by being knocked out by Brisby's henchman. Which, he shrugs off two dozen of the Monarch's venomous darts, but a drugged cigarette does him in? Eh, whatever, he's saved by the first appearance of his rival and lover, who goes by the name, and I'm not kidding here, Molotov Cocktease. EVERYTHING with these two is GOLDEN! Their brutal fight scenes including Molotov's impossibly vertical kicks, their purposely cliched banter that's rightfully become a meme, the fact Molotov is so far the only one to prove herself Brock's equal, and how she frustrates Brock in other ways than proving she can beat him in a fight. Which requires Brock to go off and do a bit of beating on his own. Yeah, other adult cartoons, heck, other adult shows in general, take notes. Because this, this right here, THIS is how you jerk off-uh, pull off raunchy humor. And then there's all the scattered gags, like Brisby's henchpanda, or Brock's failed attempt to call back the Venture's plane, or the ultimate payoff for this non-speaking henchman. Practically every single joke in this episode made me laugh. But even though its focus is on comedy, we also get some more insight into Doctor Venture, that he's not actually a doctor as he never finished school, and how he continues to be unfairly compared to his legendary father. Including the first definite instance that Venture Senior was actually an asshole, as he forced a young Rusty to test Brisbyland ride prototypes. Which is why Rusty isn't a fan of Brisby in general, declining to create a new cloned body for Brisby, no matter what they try on him. Because, hey, he's already a junkie, so what effect is truth serum going to have? Besides making him think he's Grace Kelly in Rear Window. Honestly, this is another episode I can't do justice by just summarizing. It's one you have to watch for yourself to get the full effect of these jokes, this chemistry, and these revelations. From beginning to end, it is SO good, and one of the major show standouts. And we're going to learn pretty quickly that Venture actually DOES know a thing or two about cloning.
