Let's review each episode of the TV show The Venture Bros, the greatest adult animated series ever made!

Transcript:
Dia de los Dangerous is the first official episode of the show. The team head south of the border so Doctor Venture can grab his special medication. However, The Monarch also happens to be in the area, who kills Brock and kidnaps the kids, which will be the second and third worst things to happen to Doctor Venture that day. This aired a year after the pilot, when the show was properly picked up by Adult Swim, and you can immediately notice improvement. Especially in the animation, now traditionally animated with much smoother and less stilted character movement and expression. Sure, by the standards of mainstream fare, it's not perfect, but compared to most adult animation of the time, especially its Adult Swim contemporaries, this was friggin Disney! Or Brisby in this show's case. And the show continues to build on its surprisingly complex characters and world. We see more of the misery that comprises Doctor Venture's life, including basically getting screwed over at a teaching gig, and the terrible result of a following drug binge. As well as how selectively smart he continues to be, as he's able to on the spot convert his helper robot into a dialysis machine, but has to research that he can only get another kidney through volunteer transplant. We're also treated to the backstory of a redesigned The Monarch, where he reveals he's the lone survivor of a plane crash that killed his wealthy parents. That clearly still left him with some damage, as he then thought he had been adopted by Monarch butterflies, spending his childhood with the colony, and, after inheriting his family fortune, deciding to base his villainous persona around them. Despite, again, clearly not understanding what they are, as Doctor Girlfriend also has to point out. Even Hank and Dean have a bit more to them. At this point, they're still parodies of cartoon boy adventurers, but their dialog is a little less spouting cliches and catchphrases, and they're a little more aware of their situation. As seen when they're captured by the Monarch and they try to escape. Even acknowledging that Monarch's attempts to be more like a father figure than their absentee dad come across more like a creepy uncle. Honestly, the character who gets the least amount of development is Brock. But, to be fair, he's already the pinnacle of pure masculinity, so there's not much to improve on! Heck, even Death knows better than to mess with him! Plus he's voiced by the ever incredible Patrick Warburton, in one of the very few roles I've seen him in where's he's also quite intelligent as well as inhumanly strong. And, of course, he gets the best scenes in the episode, including the opening, where there are just too many jokes and purely epic moments to count, and when Venture and Brock find Monarch's lair, leading to this motorized massacre, again, showing off just how much the show's animation stands out! And everything works out in the end, especially for Venture, in a sequence that's initially horrifying, but, after a later revelation, is considerably less so. As with the pilot, this was a fantastic start for the show, finally giving adult viewers a series with the high writing and animation quality from the kids shows they secretly enjoy watching, but possessing a considerably more mature tone. And if you like this episode, you're more than likely going to enjoy the rest of the series. And I'm pretty sure Speedy here was the prototype for Henchman 21. Who would last a lot longer than Speedy does.
