Let's take a look through DC Comics' Elseworlds imprints, and see where and when the imprint has decided to place these legendary heroes! And if they work in their new environments.

Red Rain starts off the Batman and Dracula trilogy of Elseworlds stories. A woman of the night tries to entice a newly arrived European individual, only for said individual to reveal himself as a vampire, who drains her dry and leaves. The next night, Bruce has a vision of him and a woman in ecstasy, only to wake up and realize it was a dream, before going out on patrol. Where he quickly finds the next victim of the mysterious prowler, just barely too late to discover who did it. Later, as the victims pile up, it's shown Gordon and Mayor Woods are deliberately covering this up to retain the good image of the city's first black mayor. But Woods still demands Gordon solve the case under the radar. Bruce continues to have visions of the mysterious woman right before waking up and performing his Batman duties. Where while exploring Gotham's slums, finds who he thinks is the killer in the middle of another act. But when he tries to apprehend her, she proves to be incredibly strong and agile, fending him off before retreating and vanishing into the dark. Batman returns to the manor and basically cancels his life as Bruce Wayne, through a combination of obsession to catch the killer, and a sudden aversion to daylight. The mysterious woman appears again, telling him that vampires are real, and when Bruce wakes up again, he suddenly finds he has super strength. He visits Doctor Church and tells him to analyze his blood for unusual traits, then goes to his friend Ariane for information on vampires, who gives him the usual lore, plus that victims of vampires can also turn vampiric. After debating if all vampires are evil, Batman takes his leave and heads to a low cost cemetery, where he discovers a few bodies have dug themselves out. He returns to where he lost track of the first vampire, where he discovers a storm drain and theorizes she had turned to mist to escape through it. While he just effortlessly tears the grate off and hops down, amazing himself with his new prowess. He explores the catacombs, finding a pile of dead bodies, which suddenly spring to life and approach their next meal. He escapes, but runs into another group of vampires that aren't as decayed, and is soon overwhelmed by the combined forces. Just then, the figures are suddenly staked by a group called The Others, led by the mysterious woman who introduces herself as Tanya, before they're suddenly confronted by Dracula himself, the sire of all present vampires. He attempts to mind control them all into ending themselves, but Batman manages to retain enough willpower to distract the vampire lord, sending them into another part of the sewers. Batman uses his blood to draw a cross on the wall, and the paradox freezes Dracula in place, before he's forced to retreat from daybreak. Batman manages to crawl back to the manor and get looked at by Alfred, while Dracula discovers his entire brood slain by Tanya's group. As Alfred notices the acidic red rain that's been drizzling across Gotham lately and what it could mean, Tanya pays another visit to Bruce, saying she's been slowly injecting him with vampiric abilities for his ultimate confrontation with Dracula, who has been slowly creating an army for his eventual take over of Gotham. She explains she was also bled by Dracula, but after being ordered to attack a young child was able to break his control long enough to flee, where she was eventually able to create a plasma substitute that has sustained herself and others like her for years as they fought against Dracula. But the dark lord is too powerful for them, thus Bruce must be the one to destroy him.
