Let's review each episode of the cult classic Viva Pinata TV series based on the hit game in (mostly)under 90 seconds!

Transcript:

In Bringing Up Cluckle, Hudson starts a Big Brother program, and appoints himself to watch over the new chicks of a stressed-out mother Cluckle. Except one of them might not exactly be a Cluckle. Oh goody. Babysitting episode. I freaking love these. Are we going to see someone who insists watching over young children is no problem find himself woefully unprepared to watch over young children? We are? Wow. It must be my birthday. Ok, to be fair, this is another instance where I can tell they tried for a different take on the concept. As the focus isn't on the kids being sadistic little monsters, as it usually is, but the fact that one of the kids just so happens to be a baby Dragonache that the mother decided to adopt! So it's also the big baby trope that I'm not a fan of. But again, they steer clear of most of the more cringe parts of this type of plot. Including, thank god, the stinkier parts. Though we still get the Cluckle kids stealing Hudson's truck and abusing him at every turn, while the Dragonache treats him like a giant rag doll, so we're not completely free of the more facepalm moments. But the plot suddenly takes a side road as Hudson gives the Dragonache an identity crisis by shouting he's not a Cluckle. Causing it to run away crying, and it suddenly becomes a kaiju monster movie as it terrorizes a nearby town of Asian Whirlms. Giving me pretty bad flashbacks to Sumo Tsunami. But Hudson does manage to bring everything under control and everyone leaves happy. Though not entirely unscathed. This episode is not for me, but, again, I have to give it MAJOR points for not falling back on the more embarassing aspects of this type of plot. I can't say I found it that entertaining, but I cringed nowhere near as hard as I do from most babysitting episodes. And if you like these plots, maybe give it a watch. And how is a guy with no fingers manipulating those oven mitts?
