Let's review each episode of the cult classic Viva Pinata TV series based on the hit game in (mostly)under 90 seconds!

In Recipe for Disaster, Fergy and Paulie sign up for a cooking show, with the grand prize being a lifetime supply of candy. However, they face stiff competition, so their skills will be tried harder than if Gordon Ramsey was hovering over their shoulder. As someone who likes to cook, I do enjoy media that also focuses on cooking. Not cooking shows, but when another show or movie features its characters cooking, I'm strangely invested. And I remember playing the Cooking Mama games. Even if all they did was infuriate me. So I do like the concept of this segment. Especially since one challenge is that the chefs have to procure certain ingredients to truly make their dishes stand out. And, as someone who enjoys games like Dave the Diver or Cuisineer, this really grabbed my attention, as we watch Fergy running to try and grab the legendary items, enduring multiple hardships thanks to the promise of candy. With quite a few good gags, especially with these cacti, or where this camel is completely obliterated. Of course, Pester is here and tries to cheat his way to victory, where, truthfully, I think they should have just let him win. He gets infinite candy and leaves the pinata population alone, so things end well for everyone. But clearly their focus was more on giving Pester's disguise big beautiful bouncy balloons. It's pointless to say how this ends, because you can guess it's not going to be the obvious choice. So I'll just end here and say that this was fun to watch. Even if I strangely like the Cyberchase take on this concept a lot more.
