The top-tier RD unit, Haar, is up next! Haar has some incredible offensive stats with Str and Skl over 70 and really good defensive bulk thanks to the changes to the way that I did the formulas, rewarding base stats more. He still completely folds against magic units that have access to Thunder Magic, but he's much better against the physical units now, thankfully. Speaking of the units with Thunder Magic, in the last series he was completely defenseless against them because he would pretty much always initiate second in most of the fights because of his low Spd. However, thanks to the change to Lck being the initiation, Haar can leverage his average Lck to initiate against a decent number of the magic units that can just one-shot him with Thunder magic (or two-shot him with other magic). This turns those impossible matchups into guaranteed wins for him since he can just Brave weapon them to death before they can counter, even with the lowered hit rates on them thanks to his great accuracy. While the big thing about his improved initiation was about initiating against the magic units who would destroy him with ease, it also helps out a ton against the physical units of the series as well. With Bolt Axes and Wyrmslayers flying around, he was still in trouble against units with access to those weapons even with his improved HP and physical bulk. And even though he doesn't have a mastery skill that would typically one-shot units in this series (being just a crit with a stun effect), since he has the amazing Str, he often has enough damage to one-shot them anyways. For the other units that initiate before him, he can still struggle because we are in RD, where mastery skills are mostly one-shots even with me having nerfed them for this series.
