Kieran has some good physical damage and bulk, but that's pretty much all that's going for him. His initiation is one of the worst out of all of the units, which in turn makes his hit rate very shaky despite the fact that his Skl gets over 60. His Spd is also in the bottom tier, and his Res isn't much better either, so he is another unit that is perfect mage food. However, if he can counter and take enough damage, he can proc his skill Wrath, which just gives him another option other than Sol to deal big damage all at once. The thing that's interesting about him is that with the new translations for this series, he ends up getting another skill in his arsenal from his base conversation with Oscar, Imbue. This does help his survivability a little, giving him 20 HP each turn, but with Wrath being specifically 30% HP or lower, oftentimes this can hurt him in his fights because he would survive the initial attacks from his opponents, get in Wrath range, and then be taken out of it when it gets to his turn. So it really is kind of a double-edged sword for him. The only real consistent way for him to proc it is on the counterattack from the enemy units before he heals on his turn because of how strict the range is for Wrath to work.
