Everyone's favorite gentle giant, Mordecai is up! Mordecai is just another Tiger laguz that struggles completely against the mages of the series, basically having no chance against most of them. He's also the second slowest unit in the series as well, just ahead of Gareth for that title. This means even if the units don't do much damage against him, most of the their masteries do, and they will have plenty of opportunities to proc them with the amount of times they can attack him. And as for the weaker masteries that just multiply damage, he is also weak to the laguz slaying weapons and the magic weapons; the latter not even needing to be effective against him because of his paltry 22 Res. He does have a decent skill, Quickclaw from the translation of Smite in this series. But because it procs off of the unit's Spd stat, which we've already clarified is terrible, he can't really rely on it for any fights at all. And even if he does proc it, it is never enough to one-shot and often times isn't enough to even two shot. If he does proc it once or twice and gets a chance to attack afterwards, it does set up his next attack pretty well because he does have 68 Str with a 20 Mt weapon attack. A decent chunk of the units would fall to that combo; it's just getting there is the problem. And even if he can attack, and with a good proc rate on his mastery Roar, it's not even a guarantee that he'll hit his opponent. With only 38 Skl, even with his amazing 61 Lck, it's hard to hit the broad side of a barn with him. -Although, he always seems to get a little lucky in the series if you've noticed-

The unit with the higher base speed will initiate first. (If unit has Shade or Stillness they will always choose who goes first). If both units have the same speed, the unit whose video it is will go first.
For weapons, the unit who is faster chooses the weapon they want the unit they are attacking gets to choose a weapon to counter them with. The unit who attacks first, goes through all the possible weapon combinations and picks whatever situation would give them the best chance at victory. After the initial turn, the only time a unit can change their weapon is on their turn.
