Hey there all! Here in this car commercial of the past, we got the 1978 Ford F-150 commercial. In this commercial, Ford Demonstrates how tough the 1978 Ford F-150 is, along side some features of the truck.
Some of specifications of the base 1978 Ford F-150, is that it came equipped with a 300 Cubic Inch, Inline 6 Cylinder engine that outputted 114 Horsepower. Rear Wheel Drive was standard on all 1978 F-150's but Four Wheel Drive was optional. The standard transmission was a 3 Speed Manual, with a 4 speed manual, and 3 speed Automatic Cruise O Matic Transmission optional.
The 1978 Ford F-150 came with 4 different trim levels as options to choose from; the Base "Ranger" trim, the mid range "Custom" trim, the higher end "Ranger XLT" and the top of line trim, "Ranger Lariat."
Optional engines for the 1978 F-150 were the; 351 Cubic Inch V8 engine produced 163 Horsepower, the 385 Cubic Inch V8 engine that produced 169 horsepower, and the most powerful engine of the group, the 460 Cubic Inch V8 engine that produced a whopping 220 Horsepower, a ton for an optional engine, for a truck of its time.
