Hello everyone once again to another car commercial of the past! In today's commercial, we have the 1992 Honda Prelude featured. The 1992 Prelude was a coupe built by Honda, and this particular generation of Honda was the 4th generation, which started in 1992, and lasted until the 1996 model year. Lets get into specifications about the Prelude shall we?
The base engine for the Prelude was a 2.2 Litre, 16 Valve SOHC (Non V-Tec) engine that produced 123 Horsepower at 5,200 RPM at 142 LB-FT of torque at 4,000 RPM. The optional engine was a 2.3 Liter, 16 Valve, DOHC, 4 cylinder (Also Non V-Tec) that produced a whopping 200 Horsepower at 156 LB-FT of torque. (V-Tec was not available for Prelude until 1993.)
A 5 speed manual transmission was standard on the Prelude, while the 4 speed automatic was optional. Front wheel drive was the only drivetrain available.
If you wanted a dependable, and very sporty looking Japanese 2 door coupe that performed and handled excellently with Honda quality, then the 1992 Honda Prelude was the vehicle for you.
