Heard in the beginning is the Sentry 10V located at the Clinton-Massie School (and possibly the one in Adams Township), about five miles away, along with some Whelen DTMF polling. Airhorn starts at approximately 1:09 in the video.
For first Saturday this month, I went out to Clinton County this past Saturday to see a Vortex and met up with August (airplanedude) once again. We decided on one of the Vortexes located in various townships in Clinton County that were added around 5-6 years ago.
This particular Vortex seems to do the same thing that the Whelen OA-4 in Downtown Wilmington does, it misses the Alert tones, goes for the usual one minute air horn signal, and then does a full three minute of hi-lo, missing the cancel tones after one minute then shutting down once the three minute cycle is complete. Nothing else to note other than the fact that this Vortex is already pretty weathered, especially for being so new.
Also, if you're curious, air horn is definitely more punchy than all the other signals; and hi-lo is just as quiet (if not a bit quieter) as Alert is, but I'm sure all the signals carry far as is typical with Whelen sirens. It's also possible this siren could have a busted driver, but I couldn't really tell. Enjoy!
Clinton County tests sirens on the First Saturday of the month at noon. The Whelens sound in Alert, Air Horn, and Hi-Lo (except for the few that are a bit strange), while the mechanical sirens do three one minute alert cycles.
Yes, the title picture is not of this same Vortex. I didn't have a slightly zoomed out closeup shot of this one so I just used the picture from one of Mahoning County's Vortexes for the title card in this video instead.
