EDIT 6/28/19: I have just recieved information that this is actually a Federal Electric/Fedelcode Model 5, given it sounds like one in Stark County which is a Fedelcode 5 (same pitch and everything).
No intro this time around because forgot to take the intro pictures for this one. Oh well.
Before you say anything about the date in the title, yes, this is on backlog and WAS filmed a week ago. I didn't bring my cameras with me last week to the new house, so had to wait to upload till I got home. I did record a video today of another siren; that video will be uploaded early next week.
Anyways, decided to return to hear this again after 2 years for a couple reasons: First, I wanted to get a better video of it before Bath Elementary gets demolished leaving me without a recording spot across the street; and Second, I am moving down to Southwestern Ohio on July 18th and wanted to hear this again before I leave Northeast Ohio.
Was a lot closer this time than I was two years ago in August 2017 when I last saw this one. Still sounds really healthy and was really loud and pretty punchy, probably because I was closer to the siren this time around than when I originally filmed it (my last video was the first video on YouTube of this siren).
I did notice an odd scraping undertone too, which suggests that maybe this is an earlier Federal siren? Any ideas? I'll never know for sure since the siren itself is hidden inside the enclosed cupola. Enjoy!
Bath Township tests this siren every Saturday at Noon from April through October for three minutes of alert.
