Test of a system in a university building housing offices for non academic departments and staff. This test was to see if the recently installed network integration panel would communicate the alarm to the Simplex computer at dispatch. The test ultimately failed as the 4120 network serving the campus has been experiencing intermittent problems.
The reason the strobes were not going on the second floor is due to the signal circuit being inadvertently disabled or silenced.
Horn strobes are Simplex 4903-9219, remote strobes are 4904 models, and pull stations are 2099-9754’s. There are a couple smoke detectors in the stairwells and outside the elevator as well.
