A simple little piano quartet thing that I threw together one evening in March 2018. I don't have a whole lot to say about this one, I was learning to play Greensleeves for some reason and then started playing around and ended up turning it into this. Because I didn't film the original recording, I re-recorded the piano part for this release and figured the easiest thing to do was just let that be the entire video... So in hindsight, this really is what Solitude SHOULD have been.
Naturally it was a nice and quick remake, I just had to learn to play the piece again which didn't take too long, and I made some little adjustments to the string parts, but not many people heard the original to begin with so won't know what to compare with :D I dunno man, I'm just trying to fill this out a bit.
OK, how about some updates on other stuff? This was filmed two days before I moved location yet again, so in the next video (Aorta) I'll be sat somewhere else. I've gotten two new instruments in the last couple of months, one of these will be appearing in Aorta, and the other will show up in the video after that. I've also finally gotten a sustain pedal for my keyboard, so future piano work hopefully won't be as simple as you're seeing in this video :P
Earlier in September, the same day I filmed this video, in fact, I finally finished writing what's ended up becoming my 2nd longest piece ever. I don't have a name for it and I still need to do a lot of work on it but it's 13 minutes long, maybe won't be to everyone's liking (it's not like the other epics like Arctic Voyage/Final Judgement) but it's a very personal piece and while it was extremely difficult to write because I constantly got stuck, I achieved what I wanted with it. Now time to write a sequel for it; I have a lot to say :)
While I was writing that piece, I churned out an electronic piece (my friend described it as synthwave?) in MIDI, which I also donated to the Akeldama megawad - looking forward to remaking that soon because it'll be pretty different to anything I've done before.
Also, MORE COLLABS! I started writing something with my friend, we still need to finish it, but I'll probably get the YT upload of it once I've caught up to late 2019 on here, and there's also a November 2018 piece due for re-recording soonish, a TVtTF-esque collab is quite possible there!
Finally, university's starting up again now, so I may not be able to keep the consistent 2 week uploads, but lots of things like Contemplation where I don't have to do much are definitely going to make things a lot easier for me all-round. For now, back to working on Aorta, thanks everyone for listening, see you next time!
