I'm still on vacation somewhere in the Southern Hemisphere where it's colder, but I managed to schedule a few videos to be posted before I left, just like this track, which is the 3rd version of "Fooled By a Smile" by the British group Swing Out Sister that I've posted here. This "Phi Phi Mix" was remixed by Richard Edwards and was originally a Japan exclusive, released on 7" vinyl and included in a special compilation album. It's somewhat similar to the earlier "Ralph Mix" but without the Cowboy/Western soundbites, starting with a minimalist instrumental rendition that isolates the strings and horns then gradually segues into the main vocals and features lots of additional percussion like cowbells, bongos, and more. I really love this mix and my favorite part is when the percussion goes crazy towards the ending--lots of clanging, thumping, banging, tinkling, heh
