This classic was originally written for the 1968 Broadway stage musical, "Promises, Promises" where it was regularly performed as a duet by Jill O'Hara and Jerry Orbach during the play's second act; both actors were nominated for a Tony Award in 1969, with Jerry Orbach winning for Best Leading Actor in a Musical. "I'll Never Fall In Love Again" became such an iconic tune for the acclaimed writing duo of Burt Bacharach and Hal David that numerous pop cover versions were released, with the most popular version being Dionne Warwick's version that went to #6 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart in 1969.
