In 1977, Walt Disney revived The Mickey Mouse Club show with a new and more racially-diverse cast of 12 new Mouseketeers, and for the next two years, this new incarnation known as the New Mickey Mouse Club or NMMC became a weekday viewing habit for 5-year-old me at our house; these Mouseketeers were my Mouseketeers, and my siblings and I never missed an episode--I even have the soundtrack album, heh. This single, however, was not included in the soundtrack album, and only features 5 Mouseketeers: Scott Craig (who was the lead vocalist), Allison Fonte, Kelly Parsons, Lisa Whelchel, and Curtis Wong. The song is a discofied version of the classic Mickey Mouse March theme that's played at the start of every episode, and The New Mouseketeers performed it when they were guests on the daytime variety talk show, "Dinah!" I actually liked this version, which did not chart, making it another of those singles that I thought deserved to be a bigger hit.
