Now here's a favorite of mine from the dawn of the Disco era; this track is considered as one of the earliest disco songs and was from the R&B trio known the Hues Corporation. When it was released, it was largely ignored until it became a club favorite in New York City, and was eventually picked up by Top 40 radio. "Rock The Boat" went to #1 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart in 1974, and also became a hit on the UK Pop chart, peaking at #6. The single was slightly remixed, boosting the bass and rhythm instruments that made it a dance club favorite. The song recently regained popularity when it was featured along with a dance in an episode of the British sitcom, "Derry Girls."
