We got some sad news earlier this week that New Zealand actor Sam Neill passed away. When I was around 7 years old, I was such a dinosaur nerd so of course I read the book "Jurassic Park" when it came out in 1990. I had a different picture of what Dr. Alan Grant looked like, but when the movie adaptation was released in 1993, Sam's portrayal became so iconic that he will forever be Dr. Alan Grant to me and to millions of people who have watched the movie. Jurassic Park became my second favorite movie of all time, and the music for its soundtrack done by acclaimed composer John Williams has also become one of my favorite soundtracks. As a tribute to Sam Neill, here is the main theme from the film, which was also released as a single and went to #45 on the UK Pop chart; the single did not chart in the USA, making it another of those songs that I thought deserved to be a bigger hit.
