The Ford 15M was part of the M-series of Ford Germany's Taunus range. It was a family car that first appeared in 1939 and was so-named for the mountain range northwest of Frankfurt. This particular model was based on the 1966 to 1970 P6 generation. The Taunus name continued on following this generation, though it was built in associaton with the British Ford Cortina. It ran until 1982 when it was replaced by the unified European Ford Sierra.
The Siku models all came in this turquoise-green colour as far as I can tell. My research leads me to believe that this model was only available for three years between 1967 and 1969. It had plastic push-fit headlights, a grille that formed part of the base, opening doors with folding and tilting front seats inside, and red trim to the tail lights. It also has some very nice badge detailing.
My example was a bit worn and tatty. The suspension didn't work all that well but thankfully it had all of its plastic parts intact. The paint had thinned considerably and so it made for a nice refresh giving me a good opportunity to tell the tale of the Ford Taunus (not Taurus).
