Restoring a Schuco 305825 Porsche 911 S Polizei, in the Super Schnell range from 1969 until 1976.
After more than 350 episodes and six years in total on YouTube, I've finally got round to working on a Porsche 911. I've nearly all of their previous models and race cars but never their staple sports car. And boy, what a treat I have for you with this one.
This is a Schuco Super Schnell 1/66 scale model of a Porsche 911 S, the Polizei edition. These were simply painted white and had a blue rooftop beacon teamed with either Polizei or Police wording on the rooftop. These ran from 1969 until 1976. This example had been covered in a blue marker from top to bottom so absolutely prime for a restoration.
Everybody knows at least something about the Porsche 911. The model recreates the S version which pushed out 158 horsepower from its 2 litre flat 6 engine, introduced in 1967. The classic 911 had a long but continuously refined lifespan running from 1964 until 1989, including the 1978 second generation. It spawned several other versions from the short-lived 4 cylinder 912, to the Carrera RS performance models, to the Le Mans race cars such as the 935.

![MAJORETTE restomod: 284 Saab Turbo
Restomodding a Majorette 284 Saab Turbo, in the Serie 200 range from 1982 until 1988.
For this glow up, Ive taken Majorettes beautiful recreation of a Saab 900 Turbo from 1982. Ive not done much to it, keeping the same black exterior and cream interior colour scheme, but Ive picked out some details and given it a superb set of period correct Ronal Inca wheels from Diecast Details.
The Saab 900 Turbo was one of the first mass-market turbocharged cars. Saab continued their good work from the 99 with its successor the 900 in 1978. Visually similar, the Swedish manufacturer continued to focus on aerodynamics owing to their aeronautical background. It quickly gained a reputation for its robust and dependable mechanicals. The 900 lasted for 20 years, with the New Generation based on a GM platform only arriving in 1994 following General Motors takeover of Saab.
Majorette introduced the casting in 1982. Due to its larger rear light clusters, you are able to tell that this is based on a post-1980 Turbo as the earlier models had smaller clusters similar to the 99. My model was from that first year of production, with variations available up until 1988. Spot the sports equipment on the rear shelf - a hallmark of any 1980s Majorette model!
