The raucous calling of Red-breasted Parakeet caught my attention as I was strolling home in suburban Singapore. Lo & behold, there was a small flock of 4 red-breasted parakeets congregating on a tree just beside the train line. One of the parakeets, a young female, was excavating a nest hole on the chosen tree, while the other three, all males, were perched above her, vocalising at intervals, seemingly "supervising" her. 😅
The lone female continued digging diligently throughout the period I was observing them.
