Around noon time, these two Black-naped Oriole fledglings were calling repeatedly for food,
adopting the wing fluttering & crying plaintively whenever their parents approached. Alas, they went hungry more than half the time.
Later they were observed pursuing their parents in flight.
Perhaps that was the intention of their parents in feeding them only intermittently.
Juvenile Black-naped Orioles sport faint black masks which darkens with age to match the distinct black mask of the adult. Their chests are streaked (no streaks in the adult) while their bills are still largely black while their adult counterparts sport all-pink bills.
