Weighing in at an average of 2 kg, and 45 cm in length, this is the Sang Kancil, the world's smallest hoofed animal. It is a timid little thing, emerging to drink & forage, and disappearing at the slightest sound.
Lesser Mouse Deer are widely distributed throughout South-east Asia's forests. They are quite elusive in Singapore because of their very shy nature.
