The excited calling of a Pin-striped Tit-babbler alerted me to check out what was the cause for its excitement. Soon enough, the delightful secret was revealed: two of its chicks had just fledged! They had hopped out of their low-lying nest onto the dense leafy branches above. One of the chicks was calling while the other was busy preening. Their parents returned to check on them while feeding them intermittently.
Pin-striped Tit-babblers are common residents in Singapore.
