How i love me some Germany 2ers! The most ruthless overall map for building, in any game size...and this is almost the most expensive possible Germany config for 2-3P. Also welcome back, Stein!
Think my starting build was correct for sure, but i had to grab Wurzburg sooner. As i think about it more, it's probably better to ignore brown altogether until i get to Nurnberg...that should clinch 11 Step 1 cities for me with a $6 jump, slightly winning the builds for me overall. Magdeburg looks like it gets you more in the short term, but that makes your key early builds expensive AF. Not too hard for your opponent to snipe Berlin either, as seen here.
The other factor besides builds that got me wrecked in this game was Plant 26. Let it go in early $40s since it was still kinda early in the game and i had too many pressing needs for building, and the market went to hell. Not sure what to do there since there were so many good and bad plants that could've come afterward - even a chance at a 34 drop. Maybe around $45 was right anyway.
