Performed on a real AV Famicom, not an emulator. Major thanks to Dogma Kazami (ustream.tv/channel/siteqube-ust) for hooking me up with the equipment and allowing me to play on his stream, and SaboP (penpenso.com/tas/) for showing me his speedrun strategies!
This will not be my SDA submission, and once you see the Goonies stage you'll understand why. But I figured it's worth uploading a complete run that shows my new strategy. I didn't use this in my live run on Dogma's stream because I didn't want to deal with the dice game there - no way to rig it like the slot machine, though it does seem like pausing when the dice are even and pressing A as you unpause gives you a better chance of an even number...
I aim to improve this by at least 5 seconds for SDA. Up next after that will be a Sypha run on the Japanese version of Castlevania 3 - Arcade Legacy is letting me borrow their cart and I want to get it back to them ASAP!
