Florentino is another strong player who hasn't been featured enough on here, and he had a nice game here.
This game was looking good for me early on, landing 13 & 22 while Jia had an expensive 25 and Florentino snagged 27 at cost but with expensive builds. Things got more interesting in Step 2, as i got 29 at cost but the others got 30/32/34. i did manage to follow that up with a kinda cheap 26 afterward, and the market stalled afterward.
Step 3 presented an awful market for Florentino up top, and he opted to pass altogether since he already had 11 base capacity. Jia actually bought a 5-cap after already having two other 5's, and that dropped the 50 at cost for me. With myself & Jia the only players at 15 capacity, i was forced to build to 15 to prevent Jia from immediately winning. That would put me at the top of the turn order, though, with only a 50/50 chance that i get a safe plant to bid on. This led me to end the game right then and there, hoping i had enough money to withstand building 2 more cities than Jia.
Sadly, i was a bit wrong about that and Jia pulled it out. Prooooobably better off just stopping at 15 and hoping for the best next turn, though Florentino had a ton of money as well so it would come down to us two. Tough spot there!
