Who doesn't love a big city marathon?! Whilst my heart is with trail running it's undeniable that big city marathons are something special. That's why I am so excited that Leeds is getting a road marathon back! And what's more, as part of Northern Pacing Volunteers, I have the privilege of being the 5 hour pacer on the day.
As part of my race prep I cycled the course to judge how to pace it on the day. I took my camera with me so I could show those who can't recce the route what they can expect on the day.
Not my usual running videos but I figured if it helps just one runner then it was worth making this video.
Good luck to everyone running a spring marathon, and to those running the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon... I hope to see you on the day!

P.P.S. I messed up slightly in Otley! We will go up Walkergate and Charles Street so don't go quite as far as I went... I must have got distracted by our café stop! Apologies!
