Marple parkrun has been on my (very long) list of 'parkruns to visit' for a VERY long time! I put it in my diary about a month ago and hadn't realised that we would be visiting on their 500th event! It was an absolute treat because as well as the usual stunning run, then there was a celebratory feel in the air and lots, and lots, of cake!
We also found the best parkrun swing. To qualify the swing has to be on the parkrun route itself... not in a playground or a different part of the park. If you think you know of a better parkrun swing then please let me know as we'd love to try to visit... although our parkrun time was around 15 minutes slower than the time we spent running as we struggled to leave the swing!
