2023 Yorkshire Marathon Start Line Footage.
Absolutely gutted to miss out on pacing the 2023 Yorkshire Marathon due to my knee which gave up on life on Friday. It took me over an hour to hobble around parkrun yesterday as I couldn't bear weight on it without acute pain. I can walk today though so I am feeling super thankful for that! I didn't want to let the people down that I was giving a lift to so I drove over to York, with a car full of runners, to help my wonderful friend Eleanor get sorted as she was my last minute replacement pacer (Thank you Eleanor).
The atmosphere on the start line was awesome and I don't think you get better weather than this to run in! I hope everyone had an amazing race and smashed it out there on the streets of York.
