When no one's around, I can do whatever I want! That was exactly what this young juvenile Red-whiskered Bulbul did on a quiet morning at a desolate drainage canal. It bravely descended from its high hidden perch & proceeded to forage on the canal floor. And then, being tempted by the cooling waters in the canal, it couldn't resist taking a few dips, albeit in a hasty manner.
Red-whiskered bulbuls are common introduced residents of Singapore. Juveniles lack the 'red whiskers', & spot orange vents instead of the red vents of their adult counterparts.
