The English studio group called Galaxy was formed in London, England and included singer-songwriter Phil Fearon with backup singers Dorothy Galdes and Julie Gore. Phil's initial concept for the group was that he would write and produce the music while he stayed behind the scenes but he was encouraged to front the group after a record label became impressed with his performance. "Wait Until Tonight (My Love)" became a Top 20 hit in the UK, going to #20 in 1983; this was one of my favorite songs of that year--love those synth, horn and percussion arrangements done here. The single was also released in the USA without the Galaxy name and just Phil Fearon's name, but it did not chart, making it another of those singles that I thought deserved to be a bigger hit.
