Our multi-day stretch of severe weather continues today into tomorrow across the Southeastern US, where Slight Risks (level 2/5) have been outlined. Today, an all-hazards, mixed-mode setup is expected from east Texas into Mississippi/Alabama. Morning storms should persist and increase in coverage this afternoon, developing into a line of storms along/north of the warm front. These storms would pose a risk for damaging winds and a tornado or two if they can remain surface-based. Additional development is possible within the warm sector, which would also have a threat for tornadoes, perhaps strong, but limited thermodynamics may keep that threat at bay. The event continues tomorrow across the Southeast and Carolinas, where supercells with a tornado and wind risk may develop in the wake of morning convection.
