SPC has outlined a Slight Risk (level 2/5) for parts of western Oregon and Washington, a rare sight for the region. As a potent closed low aloft meanders toward the region, supercells are expected to develop this afternoon, posing a risk for mainly large to very large hail. A tornado risk will also accompany any more robust supercells.
