Trinity Tower is a pretty large location with two elevator rides up the tower (with three sections you fight inside), and a trip down the side of the tower in a couple of window cleaning platforms. There's lots of super mutants here. At the end you don't have to worry about killing all of the super mutants. There's no way to get to all of them, and even if you jump off where possible, there's no loot other than what is on the super mutants. Just kill the ones you can for exp and finish rescuing Rex for the Curtain Call quest.
Most of the super mutants you'll want to kill at range. I recommend the combat rifle, though for any up close fights you can use a combat shotgun. In fact, the fight against Fist I'd recommend using a shotgun and drawing him up close by going around a corner. You'll make short work of him and avoid the minigun so long as you finish him quickly (which shouldn't be difficult). Don't forget the melee bobblehead where you get Strong and Rex out of their cage.
Good luck!
