Dark Hollow Pond is the home of a few mirelurks and a couple raiders with their pet dog. There is one glowing mirelurk hunter and they pack quite the punch, so be careful. Especially if it's legendary like mine was. The combat shotgun is definitely the way to go against mirelurks. As far as loot is concerned, I didn't find anything special here unfortunately. The dog did have a dog helmet and heavy dog armor in my playthrough though. That's definitely worth grabbing if you use Dogmeat a lot.
