Just like the lighthouse, this location sucks too. In fact, it's even worse in my opinion. You'll get a lot of nuka grenades thrown at you and the entire area is covered in radiation. You can either run in with a HAZMAT Suit and hope that you avoid the grenades, or you can stay in your armor and draw them out with a sniper rifle or combat rifle. If you have the dense armor modification the nuka grenades will do little damage, but you'll take a lot of radiation damage in your armor.
Another viable option (and probably the best) is to take some power armor there and fight them that way. I didn't. i drew them out and killed them one by one. I used rad-x to minimize radiation damage. How you choose to go about it is your choice, just be careful either way. This place sucks. Be sure to pick up the wasteland survival guide at ground level before you leave.
