In this stage, the Primers invade with grenadiers. You can shoot their hands to force their bombs to explode and damage everything next to them, including each other, but you have to be careful with the splash damage. With the Ranger and Air Raider, you can call in a tank and speed away from the androids - including getting close enough to force them into their explosive animation and then quickly driving away from them.
I let go of my shield with the Fencer at the end and you can see just how much damage I took from it. I should have been more careful. I added the Wing Diver after I made the original video because I knew I could finish it with her.
