In this video I fight Agreus and the Toymaker.
Some thoughts and tips -
- The Brotherhood of Light is seriously not as cool as Gabriel and Zobek were. They make me laugh with their dialogue. The big guys are wearing armor that you need to break with the Chaos Claws to hurt them. And then they start panicking - "I'm burning! I'm burning!" while they strip it off.
- Agreus is Pan's brother. He's angry that you killed Pan and wants to hunt you. This is another sneaking part, and it's tough. I got caught three times, and because that's not too bad, I left it in sped up to 3x speed so you could hear chipmunk Agreus talking. On my successful attempt I put it back to normal speed.
- During the sneaking part, you need to use Form of Mist to get over the dead leaves. Walking on them gives away your position faster. There are long stretches of leaves, and misting will frequently use up all of your power to cross, but the game errs in your favor and often lets you cross the last section of leaves if you're close enough.
- There are bells on the wall to get Agreus' attention, but I couldn't successfully pull off using them, and in my final attempt, didn't use them at all.
- The boss battle with Agreus is not so difficult - I was aggressive as I could be and perfect guarded his attacks. Agreus switches his weapons and move sets between a spear and dual swords. Thankfully in LoS2 when an enemy uses unblockable moves, it's much more obvious than in the first game.
- During the Toymaker theater part, you have to pay attention to the narration to place the right pieces on the stage. I don't know what happens if you fail, but if you listen to the narration again to get a clue, you lose some bonus points.
- The snake is the hardest part of the Toymaker fight - you can see that I tried to mist through a lot of its attacks, but the fire will hit you anyway if you're misting. Surprised I didn't die during that part.
- When the Toymaker himself is in his mech, use your Chaos projectiles to knock him down and deal damage as soon as he hits the ground. I'd forgotten that when this phase of the fight started, but I got there shortly after. This part of the boss battle is not too difficult.
- If you run low on magic during the Toymaker boss battle, don't forget about the spinning pillar on the left wall (facing the stage) that has a magic fount inside it.
